Development environment

CSWorks integrates with Microsoft Visual Studio design environment that allows HMI application engineers to take advantage of the development tool with a proven track record to create user applications with complex animations, eye-catching graphics and extremely rich functionality. No need to learn yet another scripting language or proprietary object model, just use C# or VB.NET to create CSWorks applications running on Microsoft Silverlight platform. CSWorks can function on top of a number of standard, secure communication protocols that guarantee data privacy and integrity. Client-server interaction can be tunneled through SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) - the de-facto standard for the protection of online transmission of sensitive information. So whether users are logged onto a local workstation or dialing in from home, the system is secure.

Cross-platform and cross-browser thin client

CSWorks-powered client applications run on Windows and Mac platforms using Microsoft Silverlight. Increase ROI, reduce client software maintenance costs by using zero-administration, web-based client. With web client, end users no longer need to install proprietary software, licenses and individual HMI screens on each operator station. Files and licensing are server-based for trouble-free maintenance and deployment.

Highly customizable Alarming subsystem

CSWorks alarming can be configured to scale out and to provide redundancy. Alarm history can be saved in the database of your choice, giving you a notable degree of flexibility to incorporate analysis tools of your choice. Operators work with Alarm Summary panels that can be configured individually according to user preference. When acknowledging an alarm, operators can enter a comment explaining the alarm for inclusion as part of the permanent record.

General usability

CSWorks provides hassle-free server installation, small memory footprint, and transparent server configuration that can be easily replicated for use on different server sites. System administrators can use performance counters to track solution performance.

User access management

CSWorks-based solution can re-use an existing user access management infrastructure that allows restricting access to specific screens on a per-user basis. Server-side security checks prevent unauthenticated users from accessing the system, protecting the solution from sophisticated hacker attacks.
