Welcome to the new age of industrial automation: web-based solutions

CSWorks is a development framework for building web-based HMI (Human Machine Interface), SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), EMI (Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence) and M2M (Machine to Machine) software applications. With CSWorks underpinning your industrial automation solution:

  • Operators can supervise automation processes from different compatible platforms.
  • Plant managers can monitor production operations from web browsers at remote locations, without compromising security and performance.
  • Industrial system integrators can create high-availability solutions that use data from a variety of sources: PLCs, RTUs, OPC servers, databases.
  • Application developers can create contemporary, fully scalable, animated web graphics for process visualization, taking advantage of third-party components available on the market today.
  • Analysts can study alarm and historical data using their favourite sophisticated tools.
  • Casual users can view HMI screens using web browser without having to install or maintain client software.
Leverage the power of Silverlight and WCF technologies
CSWorks leverages the power of Microsoft Silverlight, a platform and web browser-independent Rich Internet Application (RIA) software framework, which enables applications to run on various devices and desktop operating systems without any modifications.

On the back end, CSWorks provides a modular, service-oriented, open architecture based on Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) technology, which means that application engineers can configure complex distributed solutions without writing a single line of code.
Build your solution around the CSWorks feature set
CSWorks offers a rich and constantly growing feature set, based on cornerstone support for:
  • Acquiring live data from a variety of data sources.
  • Recording historical data in SQL databases of your choice.
  • Managing alarms according to EEMUA publication 191 guidelines.
  • Providing powerful live and historical data trending.

To address concerns about the responsiveness and performance of web-based solutions, CSWorks uses available network bandwidth for data transfers and only transports actual data changes between distributed components.

Also designed with security in mind, CSWorks operates on top of a number of standard, secure communication protocols that guarantee data privacy and integrity.

Taking a revolutionary approach to screen graphics editing, CSWorks does not require application developers to learn yet another editor. Instead, CSWorks client components are integrated into Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Expression Blend 4 development environment that provides full WYSIWYG support for building Silverlight applications. And yes, CSWorks supports Visual Studio 2010 Express Edition that is available for free download from Microsoft's web site!

We believe you’ll enjoy switching from monolithic legacy SCADA application packages to the new breed of industrial automation solutions. And you can switch without spending a fortune, because we offer CSWorks free of charge for small deployments, and at flexible prices for larger solutions.

Download the CSWorks framework and a few of the demo HMI applications, or install Silverlight 4 and check out the online demo. See for yourself how RIA technologies and Microsoft .NET make a robust foundation for building scalable, flexible, and graphically impressive web-based applications for industrial automation and process control.
